Honky Tonks Tavern has made a honky tonk entrance in the shadow of colourful Peel Street

Talk about keeping it in the family, this neighbourhood is starting to be dominated by two garrulous sister bars. We love this new addition

Honky Tonks Tavern has made a honky tonk entrance in the shadow of colourful Peel Street

Not to be upstaged by its crowd-pleasing sister in Peel Street, Honky Tonks Tavern has taken the neighborhood by storm since opening its doors in mid-October. Banging spirits like tequila, bourbon and mezcal are the stock in trade, soaked up with pizzas, fried chicken and big American salads. Happy hour (or honky hour as they call it) provides daily fun between 4 and 7pm, when wines (probably natural ones) are just $50 a glass and cocktails just $40. What’s not to like?
