Summed up by the restaurant in three word: BBQ, seafood and margaritas. It all sounds like simple stuff and in essence it is, but the concept is a good one. Ask the chefs what they like to cook at home, think up the types of food that you would typically like to eat informally at the beach and mix the best of the answers together. Add in some refreshing drinks, and Limewood is that place.
The menu is influenced by South East Asian, Caribbean, Hawaiian and South American recipes and focuses on barbecued seafood and meats. Most popular might be seafood tacos with a pitcher or two of freshly made margaritas, but you also enjoy sea bass with limes, coriander and chilli sauce; seafood platters or spicy tiger prawn rolls. If you’re not up for cocktails, there are plenty of healthier drinks, a carafe of rosé or a few beers.
