This long-time Michelin three-star delivers consistently the best Chinese food in Hong Kong together with commanding views across Victoria Harbour to Kowloon. The name means the dragon's view and it is this combination of supreme food and peerless views that makes it such a seductive package, appreciated by countless fans. With this backdrop, no wonder the room hums with people swooning over chef Chan Yan Tak’s deeply flavoured, beautifully presented food.
Highlights include wok-fried Wagyu beef with morel mushrooms and peppers, crispy scallops with fresh pear and barbecued suckling pig, while a seemingly simple dish of braised quail soup with fresh crab meat has an intensity of flavour that will knock your socks off. Others rave about their signature roasted chicken while dim sum, available only at lunch, is a best-in-class standout and rightly popular, too. However, if this is a once in a lifetime visit, some will contest that his baked abalone puff with thinly diced chicken (from the dim sum menu) is the musn't-miss dish that tops all others.
Service, as expected in a Four Seasons Hotel, is beautifully orchestrated and precise. Book well in advance, particularly at lunchtime!
