Holger has extensive experience in the pastry world having worked as Executive Pastry Chef for 2 decades in 5 star Hotels & Resorts and world-acclaimed restaurants. His career path gave him the opportunities to work for some of the best in the market, such as Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and Peninsula to name a few.
Before founding Essentia by Holger Deh, Holger was at the helm of Butterfly Patisserie at Rosewood Hong Kong where he rose to fame in Hong Kong.
Breaking out of the mainstream market, Holger developed his knowledge and used his skills to create products that are 100% plant-based.
Essentia by Holger Deh’s idea came from a conversation where the limitation of plant-based patisserie items became a topic. That lifestyle has been rarely considered by the mainstream patisseries and home production became a normal thing when you wanted to enjoy cakes, cookies and other sweets that are plant-based. Considering that people are more health conscious and are looking for alternatives in their diets, Essentia by Holger Deh was born.
