For almost an eternity the Manadarin Grill has been the ultimate destination for a business lunch, dinner or breakfast not least due to its air of understated luxury and flawless service. The menu offers a wealth of classic grill dishes using the best organic ingredients and demonstrating the best of both modern and traditional preparations. Most of the signature dishes are permanent fixtures because there would be an outcry if they were removed. Expect the likes of lobster beef, Dover sole on the bone, pan-fried turbot or beef wellington. Food is lighter in execution than in the past, and the kitchen must be doing something right as the Mandarin Grill is now a fixture in the Michelin guide (at the one star level). The magnificent wine list is regularly revised.
Decor is uncluttered, contemporary and stunning, thanks to Sir Terence Conran design, and the outlook onto Statue Square and Chater Garden injects a vibrant mood, aided by Gerard D’A Henderson paintings.
