For almost an eternity the Manadarin Grill has been the ultimate destination for a business lunch, dinner or breakfast in an air of understated luxury and flawless service. The restaurant offers a wealth of classic grill dishes using the best organic ingredients and with both modern and traditional preparations, and most of the signature dishes are permanent fixtures because there would be an outcry if they were removed. So, expect the likes of lobster beef, Dover sole on the bone, pan-fried turbot or beef wellington. Food is lighter in execution than in the past, and the kitchen must be doing something right as the Mandarin Grill is now a fixture on the Michelin books (at the one star level). The magnificent wine list is regularly revised.
The decor is uncluttered, contemporary and stunning, thanks Sir Terence Conran design, and the outlook onto Statue Square and Chater Garden injects a vibrant mood aided by Gerard D’A Henderson paintings.
