Ozakaya celebrates the best of Osaka’s food culture, embracing tradition, fun and food innovation in an accessible and relaxed setting that has as much to do with New York influence as Japan. The open kitchen and contemporary design works well for quick lunches while, come evening time, the fun takes over at the bar aided by terrific seafood and other tasty victuals.
Ramen, sautéed noodles and teriyaki dishes, accompanied by salads and soups, tofu and edame, as well as comfort food like squid balls, deep fired marinated chicken and tempura. Rolls and sashimi are both signatures, while miso black cod, chicken nanban and grilled USDA rib eye are the specials. Wash it all down with saké or saké cocktails or a short list of wines and beer. Sweet tooths will enjoy the yuzu cheesecake or matcha ice cream (perhaps with redbean sauce) to finish.
