These premises will be taken over by Jim Löfdahl who has been a big part of Frantzen's success. Watch this space for the dawn of a new chapter.
Scandi-chic, with its simple clean look, is currently pressing a lot of style buttons around the world, and Frantzén’s Kitchen in a tucked-away Sheung Wan neighbourhood is no different. The modern-Nordic theming applies to the kitchen too where Nordic food with Asian influences hits the right notes and complements the casual environment.
Björn Frantzén and Jim Löfdahl have constructed a winsome menu where choosing your dish is difficult because you want to try them all. French toast marries seasonal truffle with Balsamic vinegar, aged cheese and truffle tea. Sea of Japan scallop comes with articoke featuring a uni emulsion and an Iberico and barigoule dashi, and beef tenderloin is made extra delicious with smoked shiitake and a Perigueux sauce. Finish off with a rasberry and liquorice creme brulée, finished with crystalized violets and tarragon.
Options to sit at the kitchen counter for the full experience or at a table in the dining room for greater intimacy.
