Six of the best Michelin three-star restaurants in Hong Kong

Whether you’re on a Michelin pilgrimage or simply looking for the best cooking in town, the Michelin list is a crib sheet that people the world over follow. Check out six of our favourite Michelin three stars in Hong Kong.

CAPRICE

What: Chef Guillaume Galliot’s inventive dishes and a stunning setting overlooking Victoria Harbour are just the start of the Four Season’s headline French restaurant boasting three Michelin stars.

Where: 6F, Four Seasons Hotel, 8 Finance Street, Hong Kong,

L’ATELIER DE JOEL ROBUCHON

What: Still one of hottest gastronomic tickets in town, best enjoyed at red, counter stools. Well rehearsed, intricate, multi-layered plates never miss a beat, be it classic foie gras terrine served with figs exceptional black cod marinated in sake and mirin or Maine lobster spaghetti. Lunchtime set menus are always outstanding value.

Where: Shop 401, 4F, The Landmark, 15 Queen's Road, Central

T’ANG COURT

What: Acres of ruby red carpet and swathes of silk draping combine with crisp white linen and modern art for an experience that is, at once, opulent, luxurious and rarefied, if perhaps a little too serious for some.  Abolone, duck, chicken and seafood all feature prominently on the menu, while the service is friendly, informed and precise.

Where: The Langham, 8 Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

SUSHI SHIKON

What: Three-Michelin starred hideaway that quietly revels in all its luxurious but Zen-like purity, complete with 8-seat wooden Hinoki counter, and meticulously goes about its business just as masterchef Masahiro Yoshitake prescribes. The whole experience is a multi-course tour de force that transforms impeccably sourced fish into delicate works of art. Sublime culinary harmony at requisite steep prices.

Where: Citadines Mercer Hong Kong, 29 Jervois Street, Sheung Wan

LUNG KING HEEN

What: Consistently the best Chinese food in Hong Kong combined with commanding views across Victoria Harbour. Unsurprisingly fans love it and the room hums with people swooning over chef Chan Yan Tak’s deeply flavoured, beautifully presented food. Service, as expected, is beautifully orchestrated and precise.

Where: 4F, Four Seasons Hotel, 8 Finance Street, Hong kong

8½ OTTO E MEZZO BOMBANA

What: 8½ Otto e Mezze Bombana hums along as one of the very best downtown restaurants. Still cool and inviting, still very much for the serious foodie and still reverberating with contented customers worshiping at the altar of Umberto Bombana.

Where: Shop 202, Landmark Alexandra, 18 Chater Road, Central
